Because radioligands can be directly detected, there is no need to generate intermediate antibodies against your target. Eliminating these antibodies also eliminates the need to optimize an antibody titer and reduces your total assay time by skipping intermediate incubation steps.

Cholecystokinin Octapeptide (CCK-8), labeled with 125I. Cholecystokinin is a neuropeptide that exists in several forms, identified by the number of amino acids in the peptide sequence. CCK8 contains 8 amino acids. The sulphated version of cholecystokinin can bind both Cholecystokinin A and Cholecystokinin B receptors. These receptors are involved in anxiety, feeding, and locomotion and are potential drug targets for depression and satiety.

Our frozen, irradiated AequoZen cells express a variety of GPCRs which all couple to a calcium response. Upon GPCR stimulation and subsequent calcium binding to the aequorin oxidation of coelenterazine leads to emission of light. No cell culture is required prior to testing, for these frozen cells.

Thyroxine (T4) labeled with 125I. Thyroxine is a thyroid hormone that is responsible for regulation or metabolism. T4 detection by radioimmunoassay is a common test of thyroid disease.
