Alpha Technology

Virtually anything can be measured with Alpha Technology quickly and easily, including enzymes, receptor-ligand interactions, low-affinity interactions, second messenger levels, DNA, RNA, proteins, protein post-translational modifications, protein:protein interactions, peptides, sugars and small molecules.

LANCE Ultra TR-FRET

LANCE and LANCE (LANthanide Chelate Excitation) Ultra are our TR-FRET (time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer), homogeneous (no wash) technologies. One binding partner of interest is labeled with a donor fluorophore (a LANCE Europium chelate) and a second one is labeled with an acceptor fluorophore (ULight™ dye). Upon excitation at 320-340 nm, energy can be transferred from the donor Europium chelate to the acceptor fluorophore if sufficiently close for FRET (~10 nm). This results in the emission of light detectable at 665 nm.

DELFIA (Dissociation-Enhanced Lanthanide Fluorescence Immunoassay) is a proven, robust immunodetection platform based on time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) detection. This detection method, coupled with the unique chemical properties of lanthanide chelates, makes DELFIA a superior alternative to conventional ELISA for research, drug discovery, and clinical applications.

DELFIA offers a combination of high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and long-lasting stability that traditional ELISA cannot match.

IL-6 (human) AlphaLISA Biotin-free Detection Kit

The AlphaLISA Human IL-6 Biotin-Free Detection Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human IL-6 in serum, cell culture medium, and other samples types using a homogeneous (no wash steps, no separation steps) assay. The biotin-free kit uses anti-DIG (anti-Digoxin) Donor beads instead of streptavidin Donor beads, which makes the kit compatible with high-biotin culture media and other sample types that contain high levels biotin (including brain/liver tissue extracts, milk and eggs).
