Following news reports suggesting that PerkinElmer is to close its entire Shelton facility in the spring of 2026, we would like to clarify that this information is incorrect.
We can confirm that PerkinElmer has decided to close the manufacturing activities located at 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484. This will result in the separation of our valued manufacturing workforce at the Shelton site, leading to the termination of 68 employees. PerkinElmer remains fully committed to creating value in the state of Connecticut and supporting customers in the US and globally, by retaining non-manufacturing roles at the current Shelton location, including high-value R&D and support functions.
